As a little girl, Shantelle “S. Ladybug” Brumfield, spent a lot of time with her grandmother and her friends, who taught her the importance of cultivating a creative community. It was during that time, she discovered the “Power of the Stitch” while learning to crochet. She immediately became unstoppable because she understood the power connecting her mind to her hands.
Today, S.LadyBug uses her “superpowers” to help people around the globe tap into their own superpowers through custom crochet couture and her many programs aimed at inspiring and encouraging the development of personal growth and self-love. There is healing in her stitching that inspires people to pay attention and take action. With a focus on empowering the wearer, Yarn Movements designs clothing and accessories to help clients “Embrace Their Dopeness!”
Shantelle “S.LadyBug” Brumfield is a native to the California Bay Area though the world is her home. She holds dual degrees from Howard University and Stanford University, though she never rests on her laurels as she understands that education never stops.
With the addition of the non-profit arm Believe In What You Dream, she decided to hop in the pilot seat of social entrepreneurship and lead the next generation into profitable social development.
